How adoption works
From first hello to forever home
Our process is friendly, quick and built to set pets and people up for a long life together.
1
Find a pet
Use the pet finder to filter by species, age, size and who they get along with. Every profile shares temperament notes and medical history.
2
Send an application
Fill in the short form on the pet’s page. We ask about your home, family and other pets so we can make a good match.
3
Chat and meet
An adoption counselor will call you within three days, then invite you in for a meet and greet. Bring everyone who lives with you.
4
Take them home
Sign the adoption agreement, pay the fee and pick up your starter kit. We call a week later to see how everyone is settling in.
Adoption fees
What you pay and what it covers
Dogs
$100 to $250
Cats
$40 to $100
Rabbits
$40 to $45
Small pets
$30
Every fee includes spay or neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip and a post-adoption check-in call. Senior pets (7 and older) have a reduced fee.
