About us
A small shelter with a big heart
Since 2012, Pawhaven Rescue has helped 1,840 animals find homes in Fernbrook and the towns around it.
Our story
From a borrowed barn to a bright little shelter
Pawhaven began when four neighbors started fostering strays in a borrowed barn. Today we run a bright adoption center, a foster network of 86 homes and a lively volunteer community.
Every pet gets a vet check, vaccines and a microchip
We take back any pet we have adopted, any time
Our team lives in Fernbrook and answers the phone
What we believe
Every pet is an individual
We write honest profiles, share temperament notes and never rush a match.
People first, too
Adopters get coaching, training help and a call whenever they need it.
Community matters
Volunteers, fosters and neighbors are the heart of everything we do.
