Foster
Be the soft landing a pet needs
Fostering gives pets a head start in a real home and frees up kennel space for the next animal in need.

Why foster
A few weeks that change a life
Many of our pets arrive shy, young or recovering. A foster home gives them space to grow confident, and gives us a clearer picture of who they are.
Pets learn house manners and household sounds
You choose the species, age and length that suit you
We cover food, supplies and all vet care
Our team is a phone call away, day or night
What we provide
Supplies
Crate, bed, bowls, leash or litter, toys and food. We drop off and restock.
Medical care
All vet visits, medication and emergency care are arranged and paid by Pawhaven.
Training help
Mateo and the trainers run a weekly foster check-in and answer questions any time.
A matching process
We find adopters for your foster pet and keep you in the loop. You can meet them too.
Foster application
Tell us about your home
Fostering is a commitment, and we will match you with a pet that fits your life. Most placements last two to eight weeks.
